Yanam declared sensitive

Pondicherry, Apr 28 (UNI) For the first time, Yanam constituency in the Union Territory of Pondicherry has been included in the sensitive list.

According to offical sources here, following the attack on Independent candidate Raksha Harikrishna yesterday, security has been beefed up. CRPF personnel are on patrolling duty and 100 personnel from the Indian reserve battalion would reach Yanam in a couple of days.

Yanam goes to polls on May 3 in the first phase.
