Vice President congratulates JK CM

New Delhi, Apr 28 (UNI) Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today congratulated Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on his ''resounding victory'' in the by-elections to the Bhaderwah Assembly constituency in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a letter to Mr Azad, the Vice President extended his good wishes for success in bringing peace, prosperity and allround development for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Mr Azad, who was appointed Chief Minister in place of Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mufti Mohammed Sayeed following an power-sharing arrangement between the PDP and Congress, had to contest election for entry to the state Assembly.
