UK to ask Security Council to raise pressure on Iran
LONDON, Apr 28 (Reuters) Britain today said it would ask the United Nations Security Council to raise pressure on Iran after the UN's nuclear watchdog reported Tehran had ignored a call to suspend its nuclear fuel enrichment.
''We will now be asking the Security Council to increase the pressure on Iran so that the international community can be assured that its nuclear programme is not a threat to peace and security,'' British Foreign Minister Jack Straw said in a statement.
