Tin slab and nickel cathode falls on poor industrial demand

Mumbai, Apr 28 (UNI) Tin slab and nickel cathode declined on poor industrial demand, traders at the metal exchange here today said.

The ferrous and the non-ferrous metal rates remained steady on moderate demand.

The prices of tin slab and nickel cathode eased by Rs 15 and Rs 25 per kg, respectively, on sustained heavy selling pressure.

Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy- Rs 37,800, copper utensils- Rs 35,000, brass utensils- Rs 24,500, brass cuttings- Rs 26,000 and aluminium utensils- Rs 10,600.

Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars- Rs 39,600, aluminium ingots- Rs 13,600, zinc slab- Rs 19,500, lead ingots- Rs 6,850, Tin slab- Rs 525 (per kg) and nickel cathode- Rs 980 (per kg).
