Summary revision of electoral roll on May 2

Mumbai, Apr 28 (UNI) The summary revision of electoral roll in Maharashtra will begin from May two.

Addressing a press conference here today, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) U P S Madan said the draft of the existing voters list would be made available for the public from May two till May 16 for addition and correction of names, addresses.

The final draft would be published on July 17 and will be available to the voters till July 25, he added.

Mr Madan said people can avail the concerned forms from their polling booths, post offices or avail the online facility. He said existing voters can check their particulars in the voters list including the photo identity card number.

He categorically stated that bulk application forms would not be given or accepted.

At present, Maharashtra's total electorate is 6,56,90,222 which includes 3,42,10,563 men and 3,14,79,569 women. There are total of 64,495 polling booths.
