Reports on Mulayam's health rumours: Amar Singh
Lucknow, Apr 28: The ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh today slammed the opposition parties for ''spreading misinformation'' about the health of party supremo and state Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Addressing a traders' rally here, SP general secretary and Rajya Sabha member Amar Singh said the reports that M L Yadav was ill and contemplating going abroad for treatment were mere rumours being spread by opposition.
''He is sitting in front of us...do you think he is ill,'' said Mr Singh in the presence of Mr Yadav.
He said the opposition parties including the BJP, BSP and Congress were feeling frustrated after tasting defeats in their attempts to dislodge the state government. ''Such rumours are part of that frustration,'' he added.
He also ruled out any differences with the Chief Minister and said the two shared a very heathy and confident bond. ''He is my brother,'' Mr Singh added.
