Rain or thundershowers likely at many places

Pune, Apr 28 (UNI) Strong/Gale force winds speed reaching 100-120 kmph likely along and off the coastal areas of Andman Islands.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in Haryana,Punjab,north Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh and coastl Tamil Nadu and in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh and of north west Madhya Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Rajasthan and were above normal in east Madhya Pradesh, north Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Rayalseema and in some parts of Vidarbha, Karnataka State and of Kerala. They were appreciably below normal in Arunachal Pradeh, Assam and Meghalaya and in some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand and of Bihar and below normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch and in remaining parts of Orissa. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy rain likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripurta, West Bengal,Orissa and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar pradesh, Punjab, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and Kerala and at mainly dry weather will prevail over the Uttaranchal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat State, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Telangana, Karnataka State and Lakshadweep. Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Uttaranchal, east Rajasthan and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Andman and Nicobar Islands and at few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Orissa and at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
