PM speaks with Koirala; assures India's support

New Delhi, Apr 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today spoke with Nepal Prime Minister-designate Girija Prasad Koirala and assured him of India's full support and cooperation to the Himalayan Kingdom.

Dr Singh spoke with Mr Koirala over telephone.

Earlier, Mr Koirala's swearing-in ceremony, which was scheduled to take place at Narayanhity Palace this morning, was deferred till Sunday as the octogenarian leader was bed ridden due to ill health.

Sources said Mr Koirala was on a drip and ventilator support at his home.

Nepal's reinstated parliament met earlier in the day after four years and approved resolutions for the formation of a Constituent Assembly and ceasefire with the Maoists.
