Nitish seeks central assistance for revenue and land reforms
Patna, Apr 28 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today urged the centre to extend financial support for strengthening the revenue generation structure.
In a letter written to Union Minister for Rural Development Raghuvansh Prasad Singh requested Chief Minister to extend financial assistance for improving infrastructural development in the land reforms.
He pointed out that land related disputes were the main reasons behind majority of incidents in the rural areas.
Mr Kumar noted that Bihar's economy was agro-based and hence strengthening of the system related to revenue and land reforms was of utmost importance.
He said the central fund was required for creating basic infrastructure for a strong revenue and land reforms administration upto the village level.
