Narrow escape for SP
Kanker, Chhattisgarh, Apr 28 (UNI) Kanker Superintendent of Police today had a narrow escape when naxals triggered a landmine blast at Murki village in this district.
However, a head constable was seriously injured in the attack, police said.
The ultras targeted the carvan of SP Pradeep Gupta injuring head constable Premlal Markam grievously. He was rushed to hospital.
Police said an anti-mine vehicle just behind the SP's vehicle became the target of attack averting big damage. Other passengers in the anti-mine vehicle were safe.
Earlier, six police personnel were injured, two seriously, in a landmine blast triggered by naxalites in this district today. The extremists triggered the blast when the SP's carvan was heading to the site.
