Mukesh 'Shaktiman' Khanna fractures ankle during shoot

Mumbai, Apr 28 (UNI) Actor Mukesh Khanna, famous for his role 'Shaktiman' in the same titled serial and 'Bhishma Pitamah' in 'Mahabharat' has fractured his right ankle while shooting for a television commercial.

According to sources, Khanna, while portraying himself as 'Shaktiman', was shooting for an advertisement film for Pogo chips at police grounds, Jogeshwari yesterday.

Sources said, he was required to do some stunt scenes. In the act, he was supposed to be shown flying 150 ft above the ground and come down.

However, as the scene was being shot, the crane gave way and Khanna fell down. He completed the shoot despite pain and later checked in at the Bombay hospital for an X-ray, which confirmed a fracture.

His ankle is in plaster and he was discharged today from the hospital. The doctors have advised him 15 days' bed rest, sources added.
