Moneylender arrested in connection with teacher's suicide

Aurangabad, Apr 28 (UNI) The City's police this evening arrested a moneylender in connection with THE suicide of a teacher, following a complaint by the latter wife earlier inthe day.

According to police sources, the teacher Rajendra Jadhav (36), working at the Zilla Parishad school at Davarwadi in Paithan tehsil of this district, had in a suicide note stated that he was tired of the harrassment by moneylender Vishwanath Piraji Kedar, from whom he had taken a loan of Rs 50,000.

Kedar, according to the suicide note by the deceased, had been insisting for an interest amount of Rs 40,000, despite The fact that he (the teacher) had repaid the loan amount of Rs 50,000.

The teacher had allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his house on April 23, the police sources added.

Mukundwadi police had registered an case against moneylender Vishwanath Kedar, under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 33 of the moneylending Act and arrested the moneylender, investigating officer in the case and police Sub-Inspector Udaisingh Dixit said.
