Japan declares Indian security guard 'non-acceptable'
New Delhi, Apr 28 (UNI) Japan has declared a former Indian security guard posted at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo as ''non-acceptable'' for his alleged involvement in an incident last September.
The decision has been communicated to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
According to an MEA, spokesman, the Indian Embassy received a complaint in December last year against the security guard pertaining to an alleged incident that happened last September.
The embassy investigated the ''serious allegation'' and found it to be without substance, the spokesman said in reply to a question.
The Japanese government raise the issue with the MEA last month and has now decided to declared the guard as ''non-acceptable''.
''We have asked the Japanese Government to provide the basis of making such a determination so that further investigations could be carried out in the matter,'' he said.
The guard has been reassigned duties and has since returned to India, he said.
