India asks German firms to set up EPOs in India
Hannover, Apr 28 (UNI) The Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) today said it is in serious dialogue with German companies for setting up their EPOs (Engineering Process Outsourcing) base in India.
''The Council is in serious dialogue with the German companies for setting up their EPOs in India. The estimated market for the EPO sector is 10 billion dollar,'' EEPC Chairman Rakesh Shah said at the conclusion of the Hannover Fair 2006.
The EEPC was the co-ordinating agency for India's participation in the fair as the Partner Country.
Mr Shah said as a result of a big push given to the Indian companies participating at Hannover Messe, the country's exports of engineering goods would touch 30 billion dollar in the next three years from the 19 billion dollar at present.
