HC stays CM's order on Tahsildar's suspension
Jabalpur, Apr 28 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted an interim stay on a Tahsildar's suspension declared by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at a public meeting in Seoni district and issued notice to his government.
Mr Justice Shantanu Kemkar yesterday issued the notice on a petition by Tahsildar Ms Suman Dhurve Paraste. Mr Chouhan had ordered her suspension at a public meeting at Lakhnadon on March 16 after a group of Congress workers gheraoed him for sanctioning meagre compensation to farmers whose crops had been damaged due to unseasonal hailstorm and rains on March 5.
Petitioner's counsel Rashid Suhail said the state government distributed the compensation as per Revenue Book Circular (RBC) after survey of the damages by the Patwaris.
Subsequently, the RBC was amended.
