HC reserves verdict on AAI VC petition

Allahabad, Apr 28 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today reserved judgement on a petition of Vice-Chancellor of Allahabad Agricultural Institute (Deemed University) Naini, Allahabad, challenging the charge-sheet filed against him for allegedly running courses not recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The order was reserved by Justice Vinod Prasad.

An FIR was lodged by one Atul Singh at Naini police station on August 31,2005, alleging that AAI was running courses without approval of AICTE.

It was further alleged that the vice-chancellor and registrar were involved in the conspiracy and giving admission to students on double fee.

After investigations charge-sheet was submitted on October 16, 2005 for cheating and various other offences which was challenged in the present petition under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code.
