Girl commits suicide in N East Delhi, 2nd case this week
New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) In the second case of suicide in the capital in less than a week, a girl was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her house in Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar in North East Delhi today, police said.
The 20-year-old Mamta, fifth among seven daughters of Prem Raj, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her house at about 1200 hours, police said.
Initial investigation reveals that the girl committed suicide at about 1100 Hours when she was alone in the house. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan at about 1200 hours by a neighbour who then informed her parents.
A 12th class pass, Mamta was fifth among the seven daughters of Prem Raj. No suicide note was found from her body.
This is the second suicide of a girl in the capital in less than a week. Incidentally, both suicides have occured in Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar.
On April 21, a 24-year-old girl Dipti was found hanging from a rope inside the bathroom of her house in G T B Nagar .
