GE Shipping posts net of Rs 939.14 cr for FY-06

Mumbai, Apr 28 (UNI) GE Shipping has posted a net profit of Rs 223.06 crore for the fourth quarter (Q4) ended March 31, 2006, as compared to Rs 251.68 crore for the comparable period the previous fiscal, a decline of 11.37 per cent.

Its total income has risen from Rs 571.16 crore in Q4 FY-05 to Rs 660.56 crore for Q4 FY-06, Great Easten (GE) Shipping company announced here.

Besides, it has recorded a net profit of Rs 939.14 crore for the financial year 2005-06, as compared to Rs 808.79 crore for the previous fiscal.

Subsequently, its FY-06 total income has increased to Rs 2,690.73 crore from Rs 2,119.23 crore in FY-05.

GE board has also declared an interim dividend of Rs 3.50 per share to the company's equity shareholders and has decided that there will be no further dividend for 2005-06.
