Former MLA found guilty of defamation

Patna, Apr 28 (UNI) A local court today convicted former MLA of Sultanganj of Bihar Ganesh Paswan in a defamation case.

First class judicial magistrate of Patna Shobha Kant Mishra found Mr Paswan guilty of defaming JD (U) MP from Begusarai Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh.

Mr Paswan was later released by the court under the provisions of Probation of Offenders Act.

Some objectionable remarks of Mr Paswan published in a local hindi daily were made the basis of a complaint case filed by Mr Singh.
