DMI backs AIADMK

Chennai, Apr 28 (UNI) The Dravida Makkal Iyakkam (DMI), supporting the ruling AIADMK front in the May 8 Assembly elections, has claimed that there is overwhelming response to welfare measures of the AIADMK government led by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

In a statement here, DMI's founder President Mrs Oviam pointed out that during the campaign in the last fortnight, the people appreciated the timely and quick relief measures by the AIADMK Government after the 2004 tsunami disaster as well in the recent rain havoc.

She claimed that the present trend clearly showed that the AIADMK would come to power again in the state under the dynamic leadership of Ms Jayalalithaa.

She called upon the leaders of the small parties to work for the victory of the AIADMK front for further betterment of Tamil Nadu.
