DJB executive engineer arrested for graft

New Delhi, Apr 28 (UNI) Police have arrested an executive engineer of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 8 lakh.

DJB executive engineer Ashok Kumar Phul was arrested on Wednesday while accepting the bribe, which was the first installment of the total amount-- Rs 50 lakh-- demanded.

Phul had demanded Rs 50 lakh from the complainant for awarding a contract to him.
