DGP appears before High Court

Hyderabad, April 28(UNI)The Director General of Police (DGP) Mr Swaranjeet Sen today appeared before the Andhra Pradesh High Court in the case relating to the disappearance of a key witness in the human bomb blast case at the Task Force headquarters.

The High Court had earlier directed the DGP to either produce the witness or himself appear today, on a Habeas Corpus petition by the father of the witness.

As the police could not trace the witness, Feroz Khan, the DGP himself appeared before the court and explained that the police were making all efforts to trace him.

The Court directed the DGP to make earnest efforts to trace the missing person and produce before June 3, 2006.
