Court grants bail to Hinduja College Principal
Mumbai, Apr 28 (UNI) Special ACB court today granted bail to Dr Tukaram Shiware, former Principal of Hinduja College of Commerce, who was arrested for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore MPSC examination scam.
Additional Sessions Judge P N Deshmukh granted bail to Dr Shivare on a bond of Rs one lakh and directed that he surrender his passport and remain before the investigating officer atleast once in a month.
Shiware was arrested on January 10 for his alleged role in facilitating the recruitment of three Lohar Brothers as Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) through the MPSC examination held in 1997 in his apacity as a member of the Commission.
He was the Commission member from January 10, 1994, to January 11, 2000, and is the 29th accused in the MPSC scandal.
