BJP against unseating Manmohan Govt: Advani
Ujjain, MP, Apr 28 (UNI) Senior BJP leader L K Advani today said the BJP will not strive to dislodge the Manmohan Singh Government but make efforts to ensure that the UPA Government discharged its duties properly during its remaining tenure.
''In the two years, corruption, terrorism and Naxalism had taken menacing proportion due to the wrong policies of the Congress-led UPA Government,'' Mr Advani told a public gathering here as part of his 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra'.
He, however, did not rule out the possibility of a mid-term poll.
The Opposition Leader in the Lok Sabha said it was difficult to ascertain who was running the UPA Government.
''Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is a good human being but his position in the government is sympathetic. He is sitting on the government's steering but the route is decided by Congress President Sonia Gandhi and brakes are applied by the Leftists whenever that suits them,'' Mr Advani added.
