AR sponsors students educational tour to Punjab

Imphal, Apr 28 (UNI) To promote the spirit of travel and education among youths, the 22 Assam Rifles has sponsored an education tour of some Manipuri students to Pathankot and Chandigrah.

The 18-day tour which began yesterday has been organised under the aegis of headquarter 57 mountain division. 65 students and staff of Don Bosco College, Maram, would visit the two cities, the PRO, Assam Rifles said in a release.

The students include 21 girls. For a majority of them it is their first time ever outside Manipur.
