ACB remands official to custody on corruption charges
Vijayawada, Apr 28 (UNI)Excise Assistant Commissioner P Nageswara Rao was remanded to judicial custody till May 10 by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Court Special Judge H Ananda Rao on disproportionate assets case, last night.
Talkng to UNI ACB Circle Inspector N Ravi Kumar said here the accused was produced at the residence of the Special Judge, who sent him to remand.
Mr Rao was arrested on charges of corruption on April 26, after his houses were raided by ACB sleuths at Nizamabad, Madhapur, Kukatpalli, Ongole and Sindhuru in Karnataka.
Mr Rao's property disproportionate to known sources of income, was estimated at Rs 30 crore, he added.
