ACB remands official to custody
Vijayawada, Apr 28: The Excise Assistant Commissioner P Nageswara Rao had been remanded to judicial custody by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Court Special Judge H Ananda Rao on disproportionate assets case, last night.
Talkng to UNI ACB Circle Inspector N Ravi Kumar said here that the accused was produced at the residence of the Special Judge, who sent him to remand.
Mr Rao was arrested on charges of corruption on April 26, after his houses were raided by ACB sleuths at Nizamabad, Madhapur, Kukatpalli, Ongole and Sindhuru in Karnataka.
Mr Rao's property is worth over Rs 30 crore, he added.
