Transport workers to meet on May one

Hubli, Apr 27 (UNI) Akhil Karnataka Rajya Raste Saarige Naukarara Mahamandala has decided to observe May one, International Labour Day, as ''Transport Workers Liberation Struggle Day.'' A Mahamandala release here said it had convened a meeting of the representatives of the divisional unions under North-West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC), affiliated to the Mahamandala, on May one here.

The meeting would chalk out an action plan to fight various issues, including privatisation of the transport corporation, violation of labour laws, illegal deduction of wages and sexual harassment.
