New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) Traders in Delhi today met Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil to seek his intervention to stop the sealing drive by MCD in Delhi.

They also strongly urged the Union Home Minister to bring a Bill for full Statehood for Delhi and make Delhi Government accountable to people of Delhi.

''The overlapping of functions has lead to chronic failure of administrative machinery in New Delhi over a period of four decades and only a full statehood to Delhi can save the city from further deterioration,''the traders' delegation told the Home Minister.

The delegation also submitted to Mr Patil a White Paper on Unauthorized Constructions and commercial establishments in the residential areas of Delhi.

The delegation demanded that the Home Minister immediately intervene in the matter and evolve remedial measures to stop immediately sealing of business establishments.
