TI records small rise in turnover

Chennai, Apr 27 (UNI) Tube Investments of India Limited (TII) has registered a marginal increase in turnover for the year 2005-06.

The turnover was Rs 1584.18 crore, which was slightly higher than the previous year.

A company release said today Profit Before Tax (PBT) was Rs 245.63 crore as against Rs 126.18 crore last year. PBT included Rs 110.48 crore towards profit-on-sale of investments and also profit-on-sale of land and building.

Profit after tax was Rs 182.93 crore, against Rs 95.88 crore last year.

The Board of Directors of the Company, which met here today, recommended a final dividend of 60 per cent for the year.
