There is need to provide Information Technology in regional language

Dharwad, Apr 27 (UNI) National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Karnataka Zone Chief General Magager B B Mohanti today said for development of a certain region in general and rural area in particular there was need to provide information technology in the regional language.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the NABARD has taken steps to provide information in the regional languages. During last fiscal NABARD has provided an asistance of Rs 111.28 crore towards agricultural activities to Karnataka Vikas Grameen Bank that covered eight districts including Dharwad.

Mr Mohanti said ''we have also provided Rs 90.04 crore towards implementation of concessions announced by the central government, besides releing Rs 2.25 crore for non-agricultural activities,''Mr Mohanti said.
