Test for some, fun for rest

Kolkata, Apr 27 (UNI) While the political parties and poll pundits rack their brains over the pros and cons of polling, it was simply holiday for many.

A look around the maidan would make you believe that it was simply a holiday with people riding ponnies and even enjoying a buggy-ride around Victoria Memorial.

There were others who have scheduled cricket matches for the day.

Ravi Kumar said, " It's a holiday for us. We are in class 12 and have planned a cricket match. " For an elderly gentleman, a calm and quiet city and a walk around the greens was the best way to utilise the day.

Deserted roads and occasional wheezing past of a police vehicle or a press car gave a picture of a public holiday.

Meanwhile, in many areas people have arranged community kitchen so that they can spend the day together in fun and frolic.
