Rupee opens stronger at 45.08/10/USD

Mumbai, Apr 27: Rupee opened stronger at 45.08/10 per US dollar as compared to the last close of 45.11/12, a foreign exchange market dealer informed.

Rupee traded at 45.07/08 in the mid-morning session as crude oil prices fell in the global markets and domestic stock markets were in the green.

The crude oil price in the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) softened further to USD 71.83 per barrel, a major relief for the rupee.

The Indian equity market was back to its all time hig level this monring with a gain of 139 points at 12,077 around 1115 hrs.

However, the month-end dollar demand was not allowing it to move higher.
