Police sub-inspector stabbed to death

Lakhimpur Kheri, Apr 27 (UNI) A police sub-inspector (SI) was allegedly stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in his house here today.

SI Parvez Ali (45) -- presently posted as Beljum Station House Officer (SHO) in Neelgaon -- was fatally attacked around 1000 hrs.

He was inflicted multiple stab wounds with a sharp-edged weapon, police said.

Mr Ali was investigating into the case of theft of a large quantity of foodgrains from a local government godown after murdering the watchman.

A case had been registered.
