Police arrest ex-minister

Dhanbad, Apr 27 (UNI) Former Jharkhand Minister and Jharkhand Vananchal Congress party president Samresh Singh was arrested during a protest dharna in front of Deputy Commissioner office here.

Mr Singh along with his supporters was sitting on a dharna in support of eight-point demand from the district administration, including adequate arrangement of potable water in the city.

Police told him to end his protest after handing over the demand letter and when he refused to give in, it resorted to mild lathicharge and arrested them.
