Lahore, Apr 27 (UNI) Miffed at Sunil Gavaskar's ''behind-the-scene'' role in ''influencing'' key decisions as the ICC Cricket Committee chairman, the PCB is gunning for Sunny's head and has decided to field former Pakistan captain Majid Khan in the elections in June to succeed the Indian batting legend.

Pakistan, recently, cried foul and squared the blame on Gavaskar when Javagal Srinath became ICC Match Referee while PCB's four nominations for the post were rejected.

''It is no secret that Pakistan is not very satisfied with the working of the former Indian captain as head of the committee and they feel the time has now come for a change at the head of this committee,'' a board source was quoted as saying by The News.

The conspiracy theorists also pointed out that Srinath was on the Bowling Action Review Group (BRG) which heard the appeal of Pakistan pacer Shabbir Ahmed against the 12-month ban imposed on him for having an illegal bowling action.

Meanwhile, Pakistan feels Majid, a former chief executive of the board, is a strong candidate for the elected post, given his strong background and contacts with the ICC and members boards.
