One mn people participation in rally start arriving
Kathmandu, Apr 27 (UNI) Participants for a massive rally today by the seven party alliance in Nepal have started arriving at the open air theatre.
The rally, to be addressed by leaders of all seven parties will publicise its greater political agenda including the roadmap which calls for elections to the Constituent Assembly.
However, Prime Minister-designate Girija Prasad Koirala will not attend the rally due to ill health.
Participants took out rallies from five places including Taku, New Baneshwar, Kupandol, Maitidevi and Thaiti and other places which will culminate at the ''Khula Manch''(Auditorium), venue of the main rally.
Security has been beefed up and additional armed personnel have been deployed at main thorough fares, specially those leading to the Narayanhiti Palace.
The ground is small and does not seem to have the capacity to accommodate one million people expected. Five dozen loudspeakers have been installed in the areas of Jamal, Ratna Path and other surrounding areas of the auditorium.
Informed sources here told UNI the task before the SPA would include resolving the Maoists problem, bringing the Army under Parliament, coping with Coalition partners, paving way for an inclusive democracy, meeting aspirations for unbridled freedom and dealing with reactionary forces.
Meanwhile, according to unconfirmed reports Maoists will also hold a rally at the same place tomorrow.
