Nellithoppe needs adequate security

Pondicherry, Apr 27 (UNI) State DMK convenor and the party candidate for Nellithoppe constituency R V Janakiraman has urged for adequate security in Nellithoppe constituency to protect the people from the onslaught of AIADMK.

Talking to newspersons here last night immediately after a clash between the DMK and AIADMK volunteers in the constituency, Mr Jankiraman refuted the claim of AIADMK State Secretary A Anbazhagan that the DMK caders had attacked the AIADMK workers, causing injuries to four.

Mr Janakiraman alleged that the AIADMK is making deleberate attempts to unleash violence and thereby stop the elections in the constituency with the help of people brought from Tamil Nadu, since, AIADMK is gripped with the fear of defeat.

He demanded that police to take immediate steps to find out the people brought into the constiteuncy from Tamil Nadu and sent them back.

Additional para military forces should be deployed in the constituency to maintain law and order, he added.
