Adding to the sultry weathers were duststorms and hot surface winds which left Delhiites perspiring and forced many of them to remain indoors.

The scorching conditions could prevail in the coming days with the weather office forcasting a clear sky and more duststorms in the next 24 hours. The weatherman has also predicted the maximum temperature tomorrow call remain at 41 degree C and the minimum will take just a slight dip to 23 degree C.

A rise is again expected by a degree in minimum temperature to touch 24 degree C on Sunday and Monday.

The rising trend of mercury is due to the dissipation of the Upper air cyclonic movement that had contributed to pleasant weather in Delhi in the second week of April.

The Upper air cyclonic storm, originating from Rajasthan, had moved away from the Capital since April 21, causing a series of dry winds over the capital.
