Medicos protest against reservation in Haryana
Rohtak, Apr 27: A day after a clash between police and medicos in Delhi, the students of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Science (PGIMS) here held a protest against the proposed policy of reservation in Central universities and institutes of higher education.
About 350 students participated in a protest march carrying banners against the reservation policy and Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh.
They warned that if the government did not have a change of mind on the issue soon, their movement would become more aggresive.
The protest march began from the PGIMS campus and concluded at the local residence of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
The students later submitted a memorandum to Rohtak Deputy Commissioner R S Doon to be handed over to the Chief Minister.
