K'taka CM thanks Prime Minister for clearing Metro project

Bangalore, Apr 27 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today thanked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for having accorded Cabinet clearance for the much-awaited Bangalore Metro Rail project.

In a statement here, he also thanked Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy for their efforts in getting the project cleared.

He assured that the project, aimed at enhancing the city's infrastructure and easing traffic congestions, would be taken up on priority.
