Jaya promises 10 kg free rice
Tiruchirapalli, Apr 27 : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and AIADMK General Secretary J Jayalalitha has once again reiterated that her Government will unconditinally implement its promise of supplying ten kgs of free rice immediately after retaining power.
Addressing various wayside meetigns in Karur and Tiruchirapalli districts, as part of her month-long whirlwind election campaign, last night, Ms Jayalalitha said she had fulfilled all the promises she had made during the 2001 Assembly elections and claimed that she had done much more than what she had assured to the people.
Listing out various welfare schemes implemented by the AIADMK Government like annadhanams(free meals) in places of worship, free power to agriculturist, distribution of free bicycles to students and also free supply of books to students, farmers protection scheme, among others, she assured that if she was voted to power, her Government will ensure job to at least one member of every family, which does not have any source of employment.
She appealed to the voters to give another chance to her to implement more welfare schemes.
