HC allows bail to constables held for question paper leak

Chennai, Apr 27 (UNI) Madras High Court today granted bail to 15 people, including six police constables, who were arrested and remanded in connection with the 'question paper leakage scam'.

Allowing a petition filed by the accused, including a woman and eight candidates who had appeared for the written test for constable recruitment, Mr Justice K N Basha ordered their release on bail.

The petitioners said they were behind bars for over 50 days and pleaded that they be released on bail.

They were arrested for their alleged involvement in the question paper leak scam. The written test for recruitment of constables was twice cancelled following the scam.
