Grasim Q4 net rises 14.47 pc to Rs 262.74 crore

Mumbai, April 27 (UNI) Grasim Industries has posted a net profit of Rs 262.74 crore for the quarter ended March 31,2006, as compared to Rs 229.52 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year, an increase of 14.47 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 1,724.65 crore in Q4 FY 04-05 to Rs 1,872.60 crore for Q4 FY 05-06.

It has posted a net profit of Rs 863.21 crore for the year ended March 31 as compared to Rs 885.71 crore for the corresponding period previous year.

Total income has increased from Rs 6,419.45 crore in FY 04-05 to Rs 6,824.74 crore for FY 05-06.

The group has posted a net profit after minoritys share of Rs 346.76 crore for the quarter ended March 31 as compared to Rs 249.28 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. Total income has increased from Rs 2,563.52 crore in Q4 FY 04-05 to Rs 2,968.23 crore for Q4 FY 05-06.

The group has posted a net profit after minoritys share of Rs 1038.60 crore for the year ended March 31 (FY 05-06) as compared to Rs 880.43 crore for the year ended March 31 (FY 04-05). Total income has increased from Rs 9,536.88 crore in FY 04-05 to Rs 10,416.91 crore for FY 05-06.

The Board has recommended payment of dividend on Equity Shares for the year ended March 31 at Rs 20 per share.
