Government extends term of Commission
New Delhi, Apr 27 (UNI) Union Cabinet today gave its approval for extending the term of the National Commission for Religious and Linguistic Minorities by six months till October this year.
The decision will help the Commission to concretise its recommendations in a meaningful, practical and pragmatic manner, an official spokesperson said.
The term of the Commission was to end on April 30.
The extension would mean an additional expenditure of Rs 1.17 crore by the government.
