Extremism will be dealt with strongly: Nitish

Aurangabad, Bihar, Apr 27 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said extremism would be dealt with strongly and a statewide massive operation would be launched to combat naxal-related violence.

After consoling the family members of JD (U) leader Ashok Kumar Singh, who was killed at Deobajra village in Aurangabad few days back, Mr Kumar said an integrated action plan was being chalked out to combat naxalism in the state.

''Violence could not be solution to any problem'', he maintained adding police outposts would be established to protect the lives and properties of the people.

''Strict instructions had been issued to police officials to combat naxal violence,'' he said while IG (Patna Range) Rajya Vardhan Sharma was camping at the spot to keep vigil on the situation.

The Chief Minister handed over a cheque of Rs one lakh each to the families of those killed in the naxal attack in Aurangabad.

He announced that appointment letters would also be handed over to one eligible member of the victim's family.
