Exit signals at red-wave swamp in Bengal
Kolkata, Apr 27 (UNI) A continuation of a red wave in West Bengal was predicted by exit polls at the end of the third phase of polling today.
According to the polls, conducted by three top regional channels, the revamped and rejuvenated Left Front seems to be having the cake and eating it too.
Elections were held for 76 seats in Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas.
'Star-Ananda' gave Left front a whopping 49 seats, with Trinamool Congress emerging as the clear second with 23 seats. Congress and others would garner two seats each.
'Kolkata TV'put the Left graph to 44, giving Trinamool Congress 25, Congress 5 and others two.
'Chobbis Ghonta (24-Hours)', another day-night news channel, gave Left Front 45 seats, with Trinamool Congress getting 26 votes, Congress getting three and others two seats.
