Deputy Collector among four injured

Darbhanga, Apr 27 (UNI) Four people, including a trainee Darbhanga Deputy Collector and two policemen, were injured when their vehicle collided with a truck near Raitar village under Giriyak police station area in Nalanda district today.

Darbhanga District Magistrate Upendra Sharma said here that the accident took place when the trainee deputy collector was returning to Darbhanga from Kolkata with ballot boxes for the coming Panchayat election.

He said two policemen, with Mr Chandra and driver of the vehicle, also sustained injuries in the accident.

The deputy collector and the driver had been admitted to a local hospital while the policemen were sent to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
