CPI(M) candidate arrested

Kolkata, Apr 27 : CPI(M) candidate from Bhatpara constituency Harimohan Nath was arrested last night for violating code of conduct.

Polling was countermanded in Bhatpara Assembly constituency in North 24 Parganas district following the death of Bahujan Samaj Party candidate.

Election to the seat would take place on May 16.

An FIR was registered against the CPI(M) candidate.

He was, however, later released on a Personal Release bond.
