Bishnois enraged as poachers kill constable

Jodhpur, Apr 27 (UNI) After making headlines with the Salman Khan black buck episode, the Bishnoi community has been enraged over the alleged killing of a constable belonging to the community by poachers here.

Constable Gangaram Bishnoi was killed by poachers in Dangiabaas village yesterday. Police Superintendent, Jodhpur (rural) Prashaka Mathur said Gangaram was shot in the chest when he tried to prevent four people from hunting a deer, yesterday evening.

The constable died on the spot.

The SP said an FIR has been lodged against the poachers and efforts were on to nab them.

The constable's murder has yet again enraged the Bishnoi community, who demanded the arrest of the paochers before exhuming the body of the deceased.
